When listing a whole family under the same account (IE one user name and password) it is important to create the account first that you want to be in control of the whole group. We suggest you make an adult account first and then use the Add Member feature to add on any other family members.
Option # 1 : Create an adult account with user name, password, and contact information.
This will be the LOGIN ACCOUNT
To add other summer readers to the same user account, log into that account and choose ADD MEMBER.
A box will open with the various age level programs. Choose the appropriate AGE LEVEL program for each child and provide the requested information. Reading Incentives and drawing prizes are done by age level.
In order to post to the account the user needs to be under the TAB where that the account was created. Meaning if you first made an adult account for yourself and then used the Add Member feature, you will need to be under the Adult Tab to login. If you first started an adult account it will not let you login under the Tots tab.
Option # 2 : Use this option if you do not want to have an adult Summer Reading account, just children accounts.
Create an account for the 1st child to include a user name, password, and contact information.
Then follow the steps --- ADD MEMBER for each child
This year we will be doing four levels: two for children under 12, teens, and adults. Babies & Tots are still being read to. We expect that 5 books a week or @ 20 mins a day is a good goal. Beginner readers and older kids should also read @ 20 mins a day. Parents and /or caregivers should be determining what constitutes a "book" for each child’s reading level and expertize.
Print, audio & digital materials all count
Tots 0-4 years (read to - min 5 books a week = 40 books)
Equal to @ 20 mins a day/ 100 mins per week
Incentives every 5 books
Kids 5-12 years (min 3 books per week = 24 books)
Incentives every 3 books
Teens and Adults (min of 1 book per week = 8 books)
Incentives every 2 bks
